The Sustainable Vertical Dunes
Inspired from the linearity of Saudi Arabia dunes and mountain sculpture crack
lines , used as a concept to maximize sea View to the mall as a solution to Why
going Vertical?
The Sustainable VERTICAL DUNES shall simulate and follow the dynamic movement of the dunes added to it the mountain crack lines with cascaded slab edges approach to allow sustainable shading of the mall.
The current general placement & setup of the buildings provides a Max sea view for the most of the Restaurants 8. Cafes even for the ones located at the rear parts of the composition with an experience in the parking building itself.
The curved façade offers a variety of choices in creating various qualities
of spaces: closed spaces, terraces and double height spaces. It allows the
use of sea view as a main design element Also, the one theme materials
creates simple choices in material selection in the market and compatible with the budget
With the use of greeneries and self shading slab edges a pleasant micro-climate in each terrace appears. plants in various sizes colonize the important part of the facades as a natural layer that protects the envelope of the building and enhance the building's microclimate, the quality of commercial life and its identity.
The current Layout for the Multistory PARKING would seem very unpleasant space for a mall entry but as an court like approach for ventilation and defining a more unique entrance for the mall a shading is applied to enhance the idea
